There are plenty of goats in Tarama island. The local people mention that the number of goats is more than us. Anywhere in the village you can see goats.
To make best use of these goats the village holds the event “Goat Fight” 2 times in a year, May and October. The next event will be hold on October 5, 2019(Sat).
Goat is also very important protein source for the village people. Tourists can buy goat meat soup in retort package at supermarket and shop at the airport.
