At Tarama village there is very popular snack called “Hana Panbin”, salty fried snack formed flower. Before every houses in the village made this snack at home but, currently just few factories make this snack by hand.
The way of making this snack is quite simple. They mix flour with salt and form small flower and fry them in the hot oil.
Mrs.Tsukayama is veteran of making this snack for decades.
They make 3 kinds of snacks every day by hand. You can buy them at their factory, or any supermarket and souvenir shop at Tarama airport.
